Honestly, when I walked in the door I expected to be disappointed. I drove about 40 mins to visit this restaurant as I was wanting to have dinner with a nice view! The hostesses seemed a little confused about my reservation (for two) and I was worried the trip was going to be for naught. They were super nice though, might I add.
The meal was fantastic. Everything I ate wasn't just good, it was phenomenal. Reasonable prices. Excellent service! I would highly recommend.
Ps the patio set up upstairs was great! -

Four stars for the marina and bar down stairs. Negative stars, if I could, for the restaurant upstairs.
We wanted a road trip Saturday dinner. Decided on Chesapeake inn as we would usually go down and sit on the deck for lunches. I have actually been coming here since I was a kid on my dads boat. The food has steadily gotten worse over the years but the deck area is a great place to get some drinks and watch the boats. We would usually go up the street for dinner but decided to stay here. My wife ordered Short rib ravioli and I had the scallops. Both dishes came out on large oval plates. My dish looked like something you would get at a cheap diner. Steam table broccoli on the right, a ball of rice in the middle and some scallops on the left with a balsamic drizzle and globs of brown pesto. One think I will give them praise for, they did cook the scallops correctly. Everything else was terrible! Steamed broccoli, does that go with scallops? The risotto was a hard round ball, actually scooped with a ice cream scoop and retained the shape. This is not how risotto is made. The pesto would not have surprised me if there was mold in whatever container they stored it in. This is not fresh pesto. I scraped it off but still had the taste. I ended up leaving about half my dish behind. My wife ate the ravioli, the beef laying on her plate though was not short rib. tasted like roast beef, actually had to use a knife to cut the slices into smaller pieces. For one thing, short rib shreds and you never see it in slices. Second, didn't taste like short rib. We have it so often we actually served it at our wedding.
We informed the Manager about the scallops and the risotto. Didn't really say anything about the beef because where it was not what it said it was supposed to be, it was at least edible. Anyway the manager informed us the the pesto was fresh and the risotto is how the executive chef prepares it. No apology given.
If any the the Martuscelli group read this. Please have the chef youtube how to make risotto. Gordon Ramsey restaurant make a delicious one. I heard the chef was pretty new, you should check up on the qualifications. He plates like a diner and does not know how things are to made. -

Took my mother here for her birthday and she was super impressed and happy. That right there was enough for me. The restaurant is beautiful. I loved the view of the water. It would have been a 5 star experience if we were seated by a window but was given a lame excuse about that portion of the dining room is closed only for another few groups come in and sit there. Didn't want to spoil my mom's night so I let it go. Anyway, the food was delicious and good serving size. Donna our server was super nice and efficient. Truly a must go type of place. They have valet too.

Still my favorite place to go. Great atmosphere. Great food and drinks. They have live music playing outside and move bands inside as is it gets later. Beautiful sunset. Hubby had short rib tacos which were very flavorful and I ordered seafood rigatoni. It was good and plenty of it. I'm not sure I'll order it again a little bland for me. The sushi is delicious.

Came here yesterday and the restaurant was breathtaking. The view of the water and boats, the tiki bar, everything about this place was gorgeous. One thing I wasn't too happy about was that when I checked in yelp gave me a coupon from the restaurant for a free appetizer and the waitress said they don't do business with yelp and would not honor it. I was also bummed out they took oysters off their menu. Overall the food was good. I had a mango margarita and it was a bit too sweet for me so i left most of it. The shrimp salad was delicious. My boyfriend had a panini and he loved it as well. I would come again and try a different drink and enjoy the view one make time.
